Senior Interior Designer

We are a multi-disciplinary practice of architects, interior designers, urban designers and planners, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, landscape architects and sustainability experts who design for community wellbeing and urban vibrancy. We're looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join our growing Ottawa studio and contribute to the continued growth of our local and practice wide portfolio.

Requirements

• Lead, mentor, and inspire interdisciplinary project teams throughout all phases of Interior Design projects.
• Oversee project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, documentation, and adherence to professional and client standards.
• Champion the design vision by leading or supporting the development of functional programming, conceptual design, and detailed design documents.
• Prepare and oversee schematic and conceptual design drawings, space plans, layouts, sketches, and presentations that clearly communicate design intent.
• Deliver innovative, high-quality design solutions while fostering communication and coordination across internal teams, external consultants, and clients.
• Application of relevant codes, and standards throughout the design and documentation process.
• Prepare, monitor, maintain and co-ordinate project documents, including, schedules, specifications, and FF&E selection and documentation.
• Support construction administration activities, including periodic site attendance, responding to RFIs, and review of submittals, to ensure design intent is upheld.
