Dockworker/Forklift Operator

Dockworker/Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading cargo from trucks using a forklift, moving, stacking, and organizing pallets or containers in the warehouse or dock area, and following safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid forklift certification or prior forklift experience
• Ability to coordinate and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to accurately record relevant freight information on bill of lading or other documents
• Basic math and reading skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work in different shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations for operating a forklift and handling cargo
