The Solution Engineer supports technical design activities for commercial opportunities, collaborating with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to ensure seamless solution delivery. They align solutions with customer needs, identify opportunities for upselling and strategic value, and lead prospect engagements, including site tours, pre-sales calls, proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years of experience in the data center industry or in related field, preferably with interconnectivity, networks and AI infrastructure
- Strong expertise in data center design, critical infrastructure management, and operations
- Background in electrical, mechanical, network, or building services engineering
- Prior management experience is essential
- Experience in a sales support environment and project management is advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across all levels
- Ability to present complex technical solutions in a clear and concise manner
- Strong analytical skills to translate customer needs into deliverable requirements
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Proficiency in Salesforce, AutoCAD, Visio, or other drawing-based software
- CDCDP, ATD, CCNA or similar certifications are highly appreciated
- ITIL Expert or PM certification (desirable but not required)
