The Controller will support the organization's accounting operations and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, strong financial controls, and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. This role is responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining internal controls, and strengthening financial processes to ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Experience with nonprofit accounting and fund accounting preferred
- Experience managing audits and preparing financial reports
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
- Experience with accounting and financial systems such as QuickBook, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or others
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
