Senior Software Engineer, Security Products

DigitalOcean is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their Security Products team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in building products at security companies or within security functions, with expertise in Go, JavaScript/Node.js, and Kubernetes. They will design, build, and maintain robust security products and infrastructure to protect Digital Ocean's platform and customers' data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering
• Expert-level Go and strong JavaScript/Node.js skills
• Proven track record of designing and implementing high-throughput, scalable systems
• Deep understanding of distributed systems
• Production Apache Flink and advanced Kafka experience processing high-volume event streams
• Deep Kubernetes expertise running security-critical workloads at scale
• Cloud platform experience with understanding of cloud security models, infrastructure as Code expertise
• Experience building systems handling millions of events per second
• Familiarity with various security tools and technologies
