Job Description
Occupational Therapist organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs for rehabilitation, directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore and enhance performance, and facilitates the learning of essential skills and functions for adaptation and productivity.
Requirements
- Screens, examines and evaluates patients
- Develops treatment goals and methods in collaboration with the patient and caregivers
- Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students and support personnel
- Attends and contributes to patient care and staffing conferences
- Consults with and/or makes referrals to other disciplines and agencies
- Designs, fabricates, fits and/or applies adaptive devices, and trains patients in their use
