Analytics Engineer (all genders)

Distribusion is a leading ground transportation marketplace, seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to own our Data Build Tool project and semantic layer end-to-end.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, or an adjacent role where you owned the transformation layer end-to-end.
• Solid experience running DBT in production: model design, incremental strategies, testing, macros, documentation, CI.
• Strong SQL: window functions, query tuning, knowing when a CTE should become a materialised model. Comfortable with a cloud data warehouse at scale - BigQuery is a plus.
• You bring AI tooling into your daily workflow - code generation, test authoring, documentation, refactoring. You know where it helps and where it gets in the way.
• Adaptable to changing tooling and process, disciplined about modelling conventions. You know the difference between "this convention is outdated" and "this convention is what keeps the project alive".
• Strong written and spoken English. You'll spend as much time talking to stakeholders as writing code.
• Curious about adjacent work in the data stack - Kafka, Airflow, warehouse internals. Not required, but a plus.
