Job Description
Octopus Energy is seeking a Data Analyst to work at the intersection of data and finance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of finance and accounting, with experience in SQL, Excel, and Python. They will work closely with the Finance and Gross Margin teams to build and maintain a robust cost accruals process and partner with other teams to understand how costs arise in the real world.
Requirements
- Strong SQL and Excel experience
- Experience working in management accounts and an understanding of month end accounting, accruals and finance systems
- Highly data literate and numerate, with great attention to detail
- Experience with building dashboards (e.g. in Databricks or Streamlit)
- Great communicator - can clearly articulate complex technical information to non-technical colleagues
