Job Description
The Intermediate Accountant will support the Finance team in full-cycle accounting needs, reconcile account balances, and assist with bank reconciliations, month-end close procedures, and audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy is a must.
- Proficiency in software currently used by the Agency (i.e. ADAGIO Accounting Software, CIMS for billings and SUMAC for processing donations)
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel) and various accounting software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superior organizational, analytical, problem-solving abilities; Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, prioritize, take initiative.
- Must be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer.
- Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening check with a ‘Clear’ or satisfactory result that meets the operational requirements of the Agency.
