Biomedical Equipment Technician

The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing medical and dental equipment. This role involves working with dental X-ray equipment, including panograph machines, to perform repairs, calibration, and installation. The BMET also supports a diverse range of equipment in circulation, ensuring safe and effective patient care. Collaboration with clinical staff is essential to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

Requirements

• Perform preventive maintenance, testing, and calibration of medical and dental equipment, with emphasis on dental X-ray units and panograph machines.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components on a wide range of biomedical and clinical equipment.
• Install, configure, and test new devices, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all equipment activities.
• Ensure all equipment meets manufacturer specifications, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
