Job Description
Doctolib is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join the Database Optimization team within the Platform. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of datastores including PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, Kafka, Couchbase, and OpenSearch, while fostering a platform mindset within the transition to the 'you build it, you run it' paradigm. This position requires expertise in database maintenance, incident mitigation, and database-as-a-service capabilities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a DBA with strong inclination towards site reliability practices
- Strong expertise in at least one of our core datastores (PostgreSQL, Couchbase, or OpenSearch) or an equivalent technology
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or an equivalent technology
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud)
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
- Fluency in English
