Telecommunications Technician

Dominion Energy is seeking a qualified RF Technician to safely install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Two-Way Voice and Data Communication Systems. The successful candidate will work independently, supporting day-to-day operations, and may be required to assist out-of-town storm restoration efforts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in two-way radio or related telecommunications field
• Knowledge of IP Networks as related to Radio over IP and/or Voice over IP
• Proficient in Radio and Repeater Programming
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Proficient use of commonly used test equipment such as, but not limited to, Signal Analyzers, Watt Meters, Tracking Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Volt-Ohm Meters, and Antennas Sweep Gear
• A working knowledge of Antenna Systems and the ability to tune and align Combiners and Duplexers
• Ability to interpret Schematics and Block Diagrams
• A clean and valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs
• Able to perform basic troubleshooting on third party network circuits and equipment
