Domtar is a leading manufacturer of paper, pulp, packaging, tissue, and wood products seeking a qualified Compensation Specialist for a permanent, full-time position in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The team is responsible for managing payroll operations in a timely manner, in accordance with tax laws and company policies.
Requirements
- Execute activities related to payroll production in Canadian and/or American payrolls in required deadlines, in accordance with tax laws and company policies
- Enter data for child support and freeze notices
- Reconcile payroll records and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the Finance department as needed
- Balance and prepare payments to various suppliers
- Produce various monthly reports
- Respond to various internal and external client requests
- Participate in year-end activities for Canadian and American payrolls and ensure compliance with the process and deadlines
- Participate in the integration, testing, and implementation of payroll system improvements, interface, and tax updates
- Participate in various projects as needed
