Quality Engineer I

Role Overview

The Quality Engineer I role supports the manufacturing environment by ensuring product quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. The role is responsible for the development of effective quality assurance policies and programs to ensure the organization produces quality products in a cost-effective manner. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Frankfort, IN facility.

What You Will Do

Supports product quality by development and implementation of methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed. Performs product testing and analysis to ensure that potential defects and failure rates are minimized and quality levels are maintained in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

They will be able to work independently and as part of a team to develop and implement quality assurance policies and programs. The candidate will also have strong data analysis and communication skills, including Microsoft Excel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field
• 6+ months of manufacturing, quality, engineering, or operations experience
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 and/or ISO 9001:2015/Amd 1:2024 quality management system requirements
• Working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, and related statistical quality tools
