DoorDash is looking for an Application Engineering Manager to join their GTMT Marketplace team in Toronto, Canada. The manager will build and lead a multi-skilled team of engineers who work across Salesforce, Mulesoft, and DoorDash's proprietary technology stack.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions across modern business platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Mulesoft, Proprietary Technologies)
- 2+ years of experience managing a globally distributed engineering or business systems team that supports multiple regions
- Business-facing communication skills, with the ability to translate technical decisions or features into business outcomes
- Deep understanding of designing and building scalable, maintainable solutions using both configuration and code across one or more enterprise platforms
- Prior experience leading successful implementations that span core sales processes, quote-to-cash, and integrations with backend or financial systems
- 4+ years of experience leading agile/SCRUM teams in the capacity of an Engineering Manager, Application Engineering Manager, or Technical Team Lead
- A track record of delivering projects on-time by leveraging strong development processes, estimation, and thoughtful resource allocation
- Passion for scaling teams and developing individuals in their careers through coaching, feedback, and clear growth paths
- Comfort operating in a rapidly changing environment with evolving tools, requirements, and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple development streams simultaneously, balancing strategic projects with critical support work
- Strong presentation and technical writing skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- BA/BS/Masters in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or other relevant fields
