Job Description
Join our marketing and ecommerce integrations team as a Software Engineer in Cape Town, EMEA, ZA and Poland, EMEA, PL. Develop and maintain Dotdigital's marketing websites, collaborate with talented engineers and product managers to deliver high-performing websites, and contribute to our ecommerce integrations.
Requirements
- Solid, modern PHP skills
- JavaScript (frameworks like Angular, Vue, or React are a bonus)
- Proven experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Expertise in SASS or another CSS preprocessor
- Good grasp of website architecture, UX/UI best practices, and front-end performance optimisation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps experience is a plus)
- Proficiency in git, code reviews, and collaborative agile processes (scrum, stand-ups, planning)
- Skilled in debugging and refactoring across front-end and back-end codebases
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Bonus experience with Node.js and Azure Functions, Composer, Docker, Nginx, Webpack, Gulp, SEO and accessibility best practices, PHPStorm or similar IDEs
