Job Description
CNC Machinist 2nd Shift at Maag Gala Industries, Inc. in Eagle Rock, VA. The job involves setting up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes, establishing zero and reference points for each part to be machined, and monitoring and replacing worn tools as needed.
Requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes including Manual Machines on the shop floor
- Establish zero and reference points for each part to be machined
- Understand work holding systems with Manual and automated machines
- Read specific measuring tools related to the work area
- Work from set-up sheets from programmers
- Understand the efficient use of each machine on the floor
- Install machining programs into the machine
- Send correct offsets to each tool being used
- Monitor and replace worn tools as needed
- Dimensionally and visually inspect the product to ensure the product meets all print and customer requirements
