The Department Lead is responsible for coordinating the activities of production and employees by acting as a bridge between employees and the Production Supervisor. This role requires ensuring a safe working environment, assigning tasks to meet daily production targets, and providing on-the-spot verbal coaching or correction and documentation as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Team oriented – values the synergy of a team and operates as a team player
- Effectively collaborates, engages others in discussion and is hands-on in problem solving
- A fast learner able to quickly come up to speed on business processes to manage and serve the needs of the organization

- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings
- Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices
- Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction
