Job Description
This CRA position provides the full scope of anesthesia care for patients, based on the needs of the patient, the surgeon, and the system. The CRNA consults with the surgeon, implements anesthesia plans, and acts as a patient advocate. Responsibilities include performing and utilizing anesthesia, patient monitoring, and team leadership. Down East Community's Quality Improvement and Privacy/Security programs are core to the role.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine
- Active unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the State of Maine
- Current verification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Current verification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Current verification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Minimum of master of science degree in Nurse Anesthesia, doctorate preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to function independently
- Minimum of 10 Days of call per month
- Current verification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support
