Job Description
The Certified Scrub Technician is responsible for safe set-up and handling of surgical instruments during surgical cases. This involves maintaining sterile technique, managing specimens, ensuring proper sterilization, and providing excellent communication to both surgical staff and patients. The position requires strong adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining high quality of care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program and possesses a current ORT certification.
- Current OR experience essential.
- BCLS required.
- Evidence of continuing education in surgical technology.
- Knowledge about OR supplies, inventory, and operating room equipment preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple parties.
