Job Description
DPR Construction is seeking an Estimator with at least 5 years of civil construction estimating experience to review bid documents, perform take-offs, and develop estimates for SPW (Self-Perform) Earthwork scopes.
Requirements
- Review bid documents
- Perform take-offs
- Develop estimates for SPW (Self-Perform) Earthwork scopes
- Demonstrate understanding and alignment with DPR safety procedures
- Handle projects from first estimate to contracts being formalized
- Provide innovative solutions to complex issues
- Estimate across all aspects of earthwork construction
- Prepare detailed conceptual earthwork cost estimates
- Track and update vendor information
- Manage estimating software database
- Assemble and present a complete estimate package
- Collaborate with project team to establish staffing and project requirements
- Prepare detailed instructions to bidders
- Work closely with Operations Team
- Make subcontractor award recommendations
- Lead and facilitate value engineering sessions
- Quantify materials required for a project
- Create models for GPS field control use
