Middle School Math Teacher

Dr. Richard Izquierdo Health & Science Charter School is seeking a certified middle school math teacher to provide instruction to our middle school students. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Education and at least 2 years of prior teaching experience in middle school.

Requirements

• Exhibit an understanding of and skills relevant to the subject area(s) taught
• Develop lesson plans that are clear, logical, and sequential
• Effectively use various instructional strategies to differentiate learning for all students
• Use results of a variety of assessments to monitor and modify instruction as needed
• Hold each learner individually responsible for learning
• Communicate clear expectations about behavior to students and parents
• Create a physical setting and establishes routines that promote learning and minimize disruption
• Maintain a professional appearance following the school’s dress code policy
