The PhD scholarship is for a PhD position to research large-scale energy storage technologies, specifically the development of methods and models for detailed dynamic modeling and techno-economic analysis of advanced site-insensitive Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) technology.
Requirements
- Two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree
- Designing the CAES concept with specifications of the technical details and operational setpoints
- Multiobjective optimization framework under uncertainty factors to reach an ultimately optimal sizing and interactions
- Dynamic modeling of the system to provide detailed insight into its resilience and effectiveness during part-load operation, startup/shutdown, and load-changing states
- Techno-economic assessment of the system and benchmarking against other competing technologies
Benefits
- Scholarship for the PhD degree
- Enrollment in one of the general degree programs at DTU
- Opportunities for secondments, outreach activities, and participation in the doctoral network
- Salary and appointment terms based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations
