A&R (Japan)

Duetti is seeking an A&R professional to join their team in the US to focus on identifying and engaging artists and their teams across Japan, helping them understand how Duetti enables flexible catalog sales in exchange for significant cash buyouts. The role will involve collaborating closely with the Sourcing, Underwriting, Legal, and Management teams to bring deals to completion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in an artist-facing role at a management company, record label, DSP, publisher, or music finance company with a strong focus on the Japanese artist and songwriter community
• Bachelor’s Degree in music, media or related field
• Ability to speak fluent Japanese and English
• Proven attention to detail, strong work ethic and enthusiasm for working in an early stage start-up environment
• High degree of organization, and an ability to juggle a large number of deals at once
• Ability to lead, collaborate and work autonomously in a dynamic start-up team environment with a positive can-do attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external cross-functional teams
