The Department of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics at the Duke University School of Medicine is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to design and deploy new methods on large-scale datasets. The position involves leading and co-leading projects in AI for genomics and statistical learning, analyzing single-cell/spatial multi-omics and epigenomic data, and publishing in top venues.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Biostatistics/Statistics, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in generative AI/transformers, agentic AI, deep learning, computational genomics, network modeling, spatiotemporal/functional data analysis, time-series, and strong programming in R and/or Python
- Excellent communication, independence, and collaboration skills
