Dunn Lumber is now hiring entry-level positions at $21.00 - $22.00/hr! No previous work experience is required; full-time employees are eligible for various benefits. The successful Yard Worker will learn and grow their ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities needed to uphold a safe, clean, accurate, and hospitable environment as material flows in and out of our yards.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices.
- Conduct yourself every day in a manner consistent with Dunn Lumber’s core values.
- Keep the yard in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers.
- Maintain knowledge of outside product codes for quick identification.
- Safely load customers with materials in an efficient and courteous fashion.
- Actively and accurately participate in building, shipping, receiving, loading, and culling.
- Load and receive both vendor and customer vehicles with a forklift.
- Safely move material on and off the cantilever and sheet goods racking.
- Put away material in a neat, presentable fashion and adjust for lost or damaged material.
- Use saws to cut sheet goods and dimensional products.
- Protect materials from inclement weather and cull materials to maintain quality stock.
