Job Description
As an Enterprise Cloud Modernization Architect, you will lead the agency's transition to a modern, scalable, and secure application ecosystem, shaping the architecture that unifies legacy systems with emerging cloud-native platforms across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments. You will define modernization pathways, advance Zero Trust principles, and establish standardized patterns for microservices, containerization, and observability, enabling faster application onboarding, stronger security guardrails, and an enterprise-wide shift toward automated, resilient, and data-driven operations.
Requirements
- Lead enterprise architecture strategy across hybrid environments (legacy, AWS, Azure, on-prem)
- Define modernization roadmaps that guide teams from legacy systems to cloud-native architectures
- Design microservices, containerization, and orchestration patterns (EKS, ECS, AKS)
- Guide CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps best practices, and enterprise security guardrails
- Review legacy decompositions and support application teams through modernization patterns
- Promote Zero Trust principles, API-first design, and policy-as-code approaches
