Estimator (Electrical)

The E-J Group is seeking an Estimator to join their Clean Energy division in South Plainfield, NJ. As an Estimator, you will provide accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects across various industries, utilizing industry-standard software and tools. You will work closely with the bid team to develop comprehensive bid proposals, participate in bid meetings and presentations, and collaborate with the Engineering and Project Management Teams to clarify ambiguities and gather necessary information for accurate estimation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in electrical estimating
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field/equivalent experience is preferred
• Proficient in the Microsoft Suite
• Proven experience as an electrical estimator in the construction industry, preferably with expertise in electrical systems and installations
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices, materials, and methodologies
• Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software and tools (McCormack, Bluebeam)
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Familiarity with the local construction market and regulations is advantageous
• Highly motivated team player
• Practical knowledge of construction (new & renovation)
