High School History Teacher (2026-2027)

East Harlem Scholars Academies seeks a High School History Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction, tracking student progress, and creating a positive classroom and school culture. The role requires a minimum of three years of experience in teaching History, a Bachelor's Degree or higher, and a New York State teaching certification.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in relevant educational positions teaching History
• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• New York State teaching certification for History
• Ability to speak, write, and understand Spanish fluently
• Ability to hold high professional and ethical standards
• Ability to work with diverse populations of students and communities
• Ability to believe that every student can and will learn when provided with a quality education
• Ability to demonstrate success in raising the achievement levels of traditionally at-risk students
