Head Start Teacher

East Side House Settlement is seeking a Head Start Teacher to provide early childhood education services in a safe and supportive environment for children ages 18+ months to 5 years. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and one year of experience working with children in a school setting. The role involves supervising classroom activities, developing lesson plans, and working with parents to ensure the well-being and development of children.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, Child Development, N-6 Elementary Education, or Special Education
• One year experience working with children ages three to five in a school setting and/or child care setting
• NYC Department of Investigation Comprehensive Background Clearance
• NYC Department of Health Medical Clearance
• NYS Statewide Central Registry Clearance
• NYS Staff Exclusion List Clearance
• NYS Sex Offender Registry Clearance
