July 2026 Transition-to-Specialty Practice (Mental Health)

Eastern Health is recruiting RN Transition to Specialty Practice Positions for 2026 across numerous clinical areas including Adult & Older Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Units and the Adolescent Inpatient Unit. The Mental Health Transition to Specialty Program is intended to provide an introduction for those wishing to pursue a career as a mental health nurse.

Requirements

• RN Registration with AHPRA
• Minimum of 12-months experience working as a registered nurse; preferably having completed a Graduate Program previously
• Proactive, reflective, self-directed learner
• Well-developed communication skills
• Patient centred practice
• Team player
• Passion for clinical excellence
• Willingness to engage in clinical supervision practice
• Willingness to work rotating roster
• A current valid Victorian Drivers Licence
• Up to date Vaccinations COVID-19 & Influenza
