Medical Assistant

The Department of OBGYN at Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University is seeking an outstanding Medical Assistant to join the team. This position is responsible for front and back office procedures, assisting Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers with medical examination of patients, and maintaining a clean and sterile environment in the examination rooms and triage area.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program
• Equivalent military training will be accepted
• Must have certification (CMA or RMA)
• Completion of BLS class and re-certify every 2 years
• Customer service-oriented individual is required
• Travel amongst multiple sites is required
