Financial Analyst

As a key member of the accounting team, the Financial Analyst is responsible for Cost of Goods Sold accounting, preparation of monthly financial reports and variance analysis, account reconciliations, and other financial tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Commerce Degree focused in Accounting.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in an accounting environment.
• Enrollment in a professional accounting designation program is considered an asset.
• Ability to complete detailed analysis while following established policies & procedures.
• Fluency in spreadsheet applications; advanced proficiency with Excel is required.
• Must be driven to consistently meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
• Effective problem-solving skills including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
• Detail oriented; willing to dig into the details and ask probing questions.
• Must be flexible and have a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Desire for continuous learning; eager to understand other areas of the business (ie. operational aspects)
• Ability to express ideas clearly and understand the need for teamwork.
