Job Description
Easyship is a shipping software company revolutionizing eCommerce with its cloud-based platform. They are seeking a Backend Engineer to build and maintain the back-end of their web applications, including scaling the API, optimizing performance, and integrating new features. The role involves close collaboration with product and engineering teams and is ideal for a candidate with a strong software development background.
Requirements
- Strong software development experience, incl. 5+ years with Ruby on Rails
- Strong experience building highly scalable systems
- Ability to hold the team to high standards for security and data privacy
- Familiarity with Git and Git flow
- Standard of writing clean, reusable and maintainable code
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Background working in product teams at startups
