Engineering Manufacturing Technician - (3rd Shift)

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is seeking an Engineering Manufacturing Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, improve, and repair plant and production equipment at the facility. The technician will work with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to perform tasks with little guidance and high proficiency.

Requirements

• Actively participate in lean/5S/continuous improvement activities related to the facility
• Work with outside contractors on various plant projects and repairs
• Confer with operations to observe, inspect machinery determining root causes of malfunction
• Maintain and repair various types of production equipment
• Test-run repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs
• Fabricate replacement parts
• Use all tools and measuring instruments familiar to the trade
• Able to contribute to design modifications and improvements to equipment
• Assumes responsibility for the planning, oversight, and completion of projects
• Support manufacturing by assisting electronic technicians in troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical and electronic equipment
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing process work instructions and electrical/electronic drawings
• Recommend and review preventive maintenance programs, gauging systems, and machine controllers
• Complete equipment proposals and purchases for these types of programs and systems
