Engineering Technician

The Engineering Technician supports engineers in executing manufacturing projects to achieve successful outcomes. This role contributes to process development, equipment installation, and continuous improvement efforts that align with business goals and exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

• Support development of new processes and participate in PROLaunch projects as needed
• Assist with capital equipment installation, including design validation, run-offs, trials, and documentation
• Collaborate with engineers to conduct root cause and failure analysis using methodologies such as 8D and A3
• Support maintenance in troubleshooting and resolving equipment breakdowns impacting production
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to drive cost savings (e.g., vision system updates, machine design improvements)
• Perform capability studies and drive A3 projects to improve machine uptime and efficiency
• Develop proficiency across all production cells; troubleshoot mechanical, automation, and vision system issues
• Create and maintain work instructions and SOPs as required
• Provide process and technical leadership across the assigned production area (e.g., clutch area)
