Heat Treat Technician

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking a Heat Treat Technician to work on-site in Jackson, Mississippi. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in machining, metalworking, material lab technician, or heat treat technician duties.

Requirements

• Read and understand work instructions
• Operate gas and electric heat treat furnaces
• Apply Statistical Process Control know-how to detect an out-of-control condition
• Use testing instruments to read temperatures and the depth and quality of hardness
• Select and regulate furnace temperatures for specific treating jobs
• Perform minor grinding, lapping, deburr or repair work as required
