Lead Application Engineer

Eaton's Industrial Controls Division is seeking a Lead Application Engineer to be an application subject matter expert and field service engineer resource. The role involves providing customer technical/application/product support, developing and leading training for Field Application Engineers, representing the product line at industry conferences, and planning and executing engaging demos to market the portfolio.

Requirements

• Review customer’s specifications and applications requirements and promote appropriate product line from Eaton VFD portfolio
• Lead the development of standard application solutions for the PowerXL VFD platform specific to customer’s application needs
• Serve as a project manager during development of online training modules, creating software tools, knowledgebase documents and application notes to assist customers and sales people in the application of our VFDs
• Support marketing in the development of product requirements for new product development
• Test new product / product enhancement software prior to launch and ensure customer usability
• Provide Tier-3 level product technical support to our TRC (Technical Resource Center) organization
• Develop and train TRC (Technical Resource Center) representatives to increase performance and reduce call times
• Develop, coordinate and conduct internal and external training classes on VFD and various industry applications
• Work closely with customers and Field Service organization to understand on-site product / system issues and resolve them by working closely with R&D team
• Coordinate and direct the travel of yourself and team members to customer sites to participate in technical investigations
