The Operations Project Leader is responsible for executing medium to larger manufacturing projects while meeting schedule, cost and quality targets. This position will lead the operations activities while working with a cross-functional product development teams with elements of planning, risk analysis, costing, product design, reliability testing, prototyping and design for manufacturability by effectively leveraging industry standard best practices and program management methodologies.
Requirements
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific manufacturing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including operations project plans, capital budgets, PFMEA’s, control plans, process flow charts, management of change and lead PROLaunch activities associated with operations.
- Implement risk management strategies to identify potential operational project risks, assess their impact, and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruption to project timelines and objectives.
- Create and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts and techniques for efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and increased product quality, applying lean manufacturing principles.
- Coordinate the design and installation of new manufacturing & test equipment, including supplier selection, runoff, training, documentation of associated manufacturing process and work instructions.
