Quality Engineer

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Quality Engineer responsible for monitoring overall product quality, testing processes, and enforcing quality standards. The engineer will create documentation, design quality tests, and address any issues that arise. The role requires a team player to work with professionals to ensure products meet customer expectations while optimizing the manufacturing process.

Requirements

• Directs cross functional teams in problem solving and issue analysis
• Coordinates support of production manufacturing with problem solving, process improvements and resolution to manufacturability issues
• Maintains ISO 9001 quality system and supports the management of Eaton’s Quality Management System procedures
• Directs coordination of customer return analysis and ensures timely response to customers
• Works with Design Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure quality criteria are clearly identified on all newly established parts and communicated to suppliers
• Develops and leads routine risk assessment activity (PFEMA) on all new products and with changes that affect existing product
• Executes or facilitates all aspects of APQP and Part Approval and sign-off for both suppliers and customers
• Analyzes scrap, warranty, internal defect, and customer complaint rates to develop action plans for improvement
