Quality Engineer

Eaton South Molton, a plant in Devon, UK, is looking for a Quality Engineer to execute the Strategic Quality Plan and provide quality assurance support to customers, suppliers, and internal manufacturing cells. The successful candidate will be responsible for solving technical product and process problems, developing and implementing quality management systems, and participating in product development and launch activities.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of problem solving methods-i.e. Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems, evaluate and complete improvement projects
• Knowledge and understanding of Eaton’s Quality System requirements
• Detailed knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, i.e., pFMEA, Critical to Quality characteristics, Control plans etc.
• Detailed knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes (i.e., ISO9001, EASA Part 21, AS9100 etc).
• Advanced computer skills and experience in using database systems and Microsoft packages Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint etc.
