Industrial Engineer I

ECHO Incorporated is hiring a Distribution Industrial Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize systems and processes within a distribution center or warehouse to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Requirements

• Apply industrial engineering principles, data analysis, and technology to manage the flow of goods and resources, eliminate waste, and reduce operational costs.
• Conduct time studies, analyzing workflows, and identifying bottlenecks to streamline distribution center processes, such as picking, packing, and shipping.
• Develop facility and workstation layouts using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to optimize material flow, space utilization, and ergonomics.
• Establish and maintain engineered labor standards and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and report on productivity.
• Act as a subject matter expert for new technologies and automation, such as robotics, conveyor systems, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Perform cost analyses, preparing business cases, and manage capital equipment projects to reduce operating expenses and improve profitability.
• Partner with other departments, including operations, IT, and maintenance, to ensure alignment on business goals and implement improvements.
• Provide training to operational staff on new methods and systems to ensure proper and efficient execution.
