The Logistics & Shipping Officer is responsible for end-to-end logistics, shipping, terminal operations, and regulatory compliance to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of feedstock and products across inbound and outbound operations.
Requirements
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years' experience
- Loading Master certificate or experience (added advantage)
- In-depth knowledge of customs procedures, import/export documentation, MPOB requirements, and regulatory compliance
- Strong organizational abilities, adept at managing multiple shipments, documentation, and scheduling
- Proficiency in handling hazardous materials, including storage, inventory management, and transport preparation
- Excellent problem-solving skills for logistics and inventory management challenges
- Familiarity with port safety and environmental regulations, with effective time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
- Comprehensive understanding of inland logistics processes, route planning, and safety protocols for both road and sea transport
- Skilled in logistics and shipping software for planning, tracking, and cost management
- Experience coordinating with port authorities, customs officials, and inspection bodies (e.g., MPOB, KKM)
- Diplomacy in resolving complex situations with minimal impact on logistics operations
- Familiarity with Q88 form assessments, pilot booking, and port entry requirements
- Experienced in operations within free trade zones (FTZs) and bonded terminals
- Certifications in loading master duties, MPOB, logistics, hazardous materials handling, or supply chain management are advantageous
