Job Description
The Economic Opportunity Commission is seeking a Community Organizer to facilitate and strengthen social relationships between individuals, families, and social organizations. The Community Organizer will be responsible for mobilizing and galvanizing community residents around issues affecting the quality of life of Nassau County residents.
Requirements
- Associate degree and/or 3+ years experience in human services
- Ability to work well with a diverse population
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Maintain confidentiality regarding clients and records
