Vehicle Structures Engineer

EDAG Inc. is a globally leading engineering services provider that combines engineering with the latest technology trends. We are looking for a Vehicle Structures Engineer to design and develop structural components for future body in white (BIW) architectures.

Requirements

• BS/MS Mechanical Engr., with 5+ years of experience designing one or more of the following: Structures, Closures, and Joining parts including component manufacturing and assembly processes.
• 5+ years of experience using 3D CAD software collaboratively
• 3+ year of Experience in the production release process
• Good analytical skills with application of CAE tools.
• Experience in assembly stack up using GD&T and knowledge of industry design rules.
• Expert knowledge using CATIA V6 part and assembly.
• Expert skills at developing CAD for sheet metal, castings, and moldings at part and assembly levels.
• Knowledge of body structures systems design, manufacturing, and assembly processes
• Knowledge of alloys used for structural castings.
• Knowledge of the secondary operations associated with castings, including, but not limited to trimming, straightening, and quality checks
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, detail-oriented and highly motivated
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse global team with good communication and interpersonal skills
