Job Description
The Birth-3 Lead Teacher will develop and implement individualized education plans for children, ensuring their social, intellectual, physical, and emotional development. This role requires close collaboration with the Director of School Operations and Mentor Teacher, a strong understanding of Early Childhood Development, and adherence to all performance standards. The position is part of a DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services) licensed center and involves daily teaching, collaboration, and maintaining a safe learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education, child development or a related field with a minimum of (18) semester hours in courses specifically in the care and education of children 0-5 years old.
- Knowledge and experience in the philosophy and practices of Infant and Toddler development and care, early childhood education, developmentally appropriate practice, and bilingual education.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
- Ability to lift 55 pounds.
- Ability to use all physical and mental capacities to perform job duties.
