Assistant Principal

The Assistant Principal will be responsible for enforcing guidelines, developing and administering policies, and maintaining a safe and effective school environment. They will also assist with curriculum development, staff selection and mentoring, and supervision of support services. Additionally, they will facilitate communication between personnel, students, and parents, and represent the school in community forums.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or other related discipline
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience preferred in an urban education setting
• Minimum of two years demonstrated successful leadership in an administrative position
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks
• Demonstrated ability to exhibit strong interpersonal skills with students, parents and community
• Ability to meet established deadlines
