Teacher-ESL

The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher-ESL to develop lesson plans, assist with assessment, and provide individualized support to students. Responsibilities include lesson creation, communication with parents, remediation of student needs, and adapting instruction to meet diverse learning styles. Emphasis is placed on creating a positive learning environment and incorporating technology.

Requirements

• Develop lesson plans that ensure the attainment of state learning and common core standards.
• Make instructional presentations; conduct discussions; encourage practice; and correct student work.
• Assist in administering and recording assessment and achievement.
• Adapts instruction to objectives and individual needs.
• Provides individual students with positive and prompt feedback.
• Works with one-on-one and small groups to remediate diagnosed weaknesses.
• Uses computers and other technology to assist students.
