Civil Engineer/EIT- can be based in Winnipeg, Halifax, or BC

We are seeking a Civil Engineer/EIT to provide fundamental engineering principles and methods to provide forensic structural and building damage assessments. The successful candidate will perform building and structural failure investigations, design restoration and repair works, and cost estimations. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills are required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or post-graduate degree in civil/structural engineering from a recognized university
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of the posted position (preferred)
• Five (5) + years of engineering experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, procedures, general terms, conditions, nomenclature, etc. associated with the insurance industry and assigned area of engineering specialty
• Documented experience in structural design of wood, steel and reinforced concrete
