Evening/Night Activity Aide

We are looking for a friendly and upbeat person to join our activity team as an Evening/Night Activity Aide. The successful candidate will provide evening resident activities, assist with busy residents with dementia, and assist the Activity Director in planning and executing recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of and ability to assume a leadership role in conducting a variety of activities
• Completion of Activity Coordinator Training course desired
• Current CPR and First Aid Certificates desired
• Feeding training provided
• Good interpersonal skills including group dynamics and teamwork
• Cheerfulness, positive attitude and ability to motivate people
• Genuine liking and respect for the elderly and physically and mentally challenged
• Current driver license and good driving record
• Ability to work independently and with supervision
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Experience working with people with dementia preferred
